What is Licensy AI?

What does Licensy AI do?

Licensy AI is API-first healthcare licensing infrastructure that monitors physician (MD/DO) and physician assistant (PA) licenses across all 50 U.S. states and DC. It sources data from official public records — state medical and PA boards and the NPPES NPI registry — captures a primary-source screenshot of each record, and delivers verified practitioner credentials through a REST API, MCP server, enterprise integrations, and a web dashboard.

Why does this exist?

State medical and PA boards publish license data on 50+ different websites with no standard format. Manually checking each one — every renewal, every new hire — is error-prone and slow. For a digital health platform with thousands of clinicians across multiple states, this becomes a permanent operational burden.

Licensy AI checks every state board on a daily monitored cadence, normalizes the output into a single schema, and pushes status changes to your system as they are detected. Every record is drawn from official public sources and backed by a primary-source screenshot, so the physician and PA data you receive is traceable to the board it came from.

Who uses Licensy AI?

Digital health platforms, telemedicine companies, credentialing-verification organizations (CVOs), healthcare staffing firms, and health-tech startups that need continuous (not one-time) confirmation that their practitioners hold valid licenses in the states where they practice. Typical customers credential anywhere from 50 to 50,000+ clinicians.

How does the verification actually work?

You hand Licensy AI an identifier — an NPI number or a (state, license number) pair — and we return the practitioner's full license picture across every state they hold a license in. For both physicians and physician assistants, we query the relevant state medical and PA boards directly and capture a primary-source screenshot of each record as evidence.

Each license returns: license number, type, status, expiration date, original-issue date, full name, and discipline/final-orders history, along with the primary-source screenshot and the timestamp of the most recent monitored check.

How fresh is the data?

Physician and PA licenses are daily monitored against their state boards, keeping each record current; on-demand re-checks are available through the API. Every update carries a fresh primary-source screenshot and check timestamp. NPI data refreshes weekly from CMS's NPPES dissemination feed.

What makes Licensy AI different

All 50 + DC, day one

Physician and PA licenses across every state and DC. Not "we'll add the rest next quarter" — already shipped.

Primary-source evidence

Every record comes from official public board data with a primary-source screenshot attached, so each physician and PA license is traceable back to the board it came from.

Continuous, not one-shot

Webhook alerts on status changes, daily monitored updates, and 60-day expiring-soon notifications. Catch lapses before they become compliance incidents.
